Military Chic, Natalia

Natalia Alaverdian

Harper's Bazaar Russia's Natalia Alverdian wowed street style addicts like myself with this amazing military inspired and lace combo in February during the Milan F/W 2010 collections. A combination that subsequently graced the racks of fashion-favorite boutiques like Miu Miu this fall.

natalia

The super-chic stylist nailed the look again during the Milan SS2011 collections; this time in a version adapted for the warmer Fall climate. Winter or Fall, she never falls out of line.

Military Chic

Alix

Alixp

Alix of The cherry blossom girl is beyond military-chic in a Marc by Marc Jacobs parka, See by Chloe skirt, Asos cardigan, vintage belt and Chloe shoes. She's a girl after my heart. You know how much I love military-inspired style. Whenever I look at these images, the Destiny's Child song "Soldier" pops into my head. "I need a soldier." Yeah!

Early Friday Evening

Adrianna

Bumped into Adrianna early yesterday evening while on a mission to find the perfect sheer t-shirt with my friend Haamacha. Her fresh-faced smile totally got me in the mood for the weekend.

The Sacai Parka

Here's another version of the outstanding Sacai parka that Sarah is wearing in the previous post. This one is the product of a collaboration with Italian outerwear brand Moncler. I love the way Alexandra Stylianidis, Jewelry and Accessories buyer at Liberty, layers it over this long, printed, tiered Vanessa Bruno dress. The shape of the print and of the tiers work so well with the ruffles on the back of the parka. Great styling!

Lineup

The undeniably stylish Sarah Rutson takes sporty-chic to the next level as she makes her way across Sixth Avenue. She is wearing the amazing Sacai parka that was a favorite among editors this past fashion month.

The Chic Muse

The young, fresh, and internationally stylish Denni of the Chic Muse who took Paris Fashion week by storm with her fabulously adventurous sense of style. I adore how she plays dress-up. Her personal twist on the latest trends and interpretations of styles from previous eras are always inspiring. Here in a Zara parka, Naf Naf blouse, vintage Levi's cut-offs and Zara booties, she is beyond effortless-cool! I' love those back-seam tights. They are that one detail that always makes the look!

French cool

The exceptionally creative, super charming and ever stylish Garance Doré. And yes that is her new Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton bag. She also has it in cobalt. I love it! I am the same way. When something works really well for me, I buy multiples.

Child of the '80s

Giulia raids her mother's closet to achieve the perfect '80s inspired look. Updating her mother's parka and sweater with market-found lace leggings and H&M field boots, her look comes off edgy-cool. BTW, I am convinced that I recently saw that sweater somewhere. I can't remember where. Or maybe it was a dream. But it was offered in fuchsia and bright blue. Oh! And, one of my favorite looks from the '80s are lace tights. I was sooo happy when they made a comeback in 2001/2002, and I'm happy to see them back again. They add spice to any look!

Greta, Parkalust

I'm sure that I have mentioned this before, I am a die-hard fan of military-inspired looks. Whether it be cargo pants or tough-girl/rock/chic parkas like Greta's, I'm all over it.

Right now I am beyond obsessed with Mr & Mrs Fur's luxe version of this fashion staple. Rumor is that Kate Moss picked one up this summer in Saint-Tropez. Lust, lust, lust!
