PENNYBLACK Girls and the City

PENNYBLACK2

Some of my fondest memories involve my girlfriends and I spending time together and exploring different cities around the world. So when I was invited by PENNYBLACK to participate in their Girls & the City Milan edition, I happily accepted the opportunity to share some of my favorite Milanese spots. Shot by my dear friend Tommy of Jak & Jil and with creative direction from Macs Iotti, a dear dear new friend, I walked the streets of Brera, practically my backyard, in an awesome trench coat, gorgeous sandals and chic jewelry from the Penny Black Spring/Summer 2011 collection. It was an amazing experience, and as you will see from the pics and video, the girls of Milan really know how to enjoy their city in style.

Dolce & Gabbana Girl's Best Friend

"Girls just wanna have fun." This past Friday, Stefano and Domenico sent a little love to their favorite girls by transforming their Via Spiga 26 boutique into a wonderland for everything feminine. The ladies were invited to listen to the sweet set of house D.J. Natasha Slater; have their palms and cards read; indulge in the atmosphere of an old-school beauty salon while having their eyebrows thread; have a total make-over in the vanity room; and experience the Spring/Summer 2011 collection while sipping on the most refreshing prosecco served fifties-skate style. Eh! Stefano, Domenico...that's what friends are for. XO, T

Elle Italia look of the day

Eve

Hey guys, the lovely people at Elle.it have asked me to collaborate on a street style section for their readers. So, to start, we decided to feature some of their own stylists who are known for their amazing style. And I can't express my delight when I met my first subject Eva Fontanelli!!!

Glasses

Admired internationally for her whimsical style, Eva was a pleasure to work with. And even though I had seen her around during fashion week and was very familiar with her look, I was nonetheless blown away by her profound talent and creativity.

These are some of my favorite images from our collaboration. Eva is a riot, she literally transformed herself into another character for every shot. We had the BEST time ever, and I got tons of cool outfit ideas from the experience! Check out our other fun pics here, and I'll let you know when more images are added.

Wide-Brim

When Length Matters

With all the micro minis present on and off the runway, it's nice to see a pavement- grazing skirt now and then. These looks are dazzling! The look above was Florentine aperitivo material. The one below, which I fondly call "day drama," was worn at 12 noon in Milan. When length is more.
